The Aggrolites - Rugged Road Los Bullets

Last weekend was monumental for the reggae ska scene as two of LA’s heavy hitters touched down in San Diego.  The Aggrolites brought their signature sound to the Belly Up Tavern on Sept. 9th.  The show was opened by the more than well known OG ska band Buck-O-Nine.  They came in with a powerful set and played their classic jams.  This set the tone and energy for The Aggrolites to take the stage.  TheLIEshow had the extreme pleasure of joining them in filming the first installment of special release footage.  The crowd had an extreme amount of energy and The Aggrolites answered back with appreciation through music.  Delivering track after track while the crowd sang along lyric for lyric.  Humble to the roots, these guys are a force to be reckoned with and will be in the scene for a long time to come.

The following night The Bullets were set to play Boar Cross’n in Carlsbad, Ca. Three of The Aggrolites members are also a large part of The Bullets.  Roger, Ricky and Alex enjoyed a well needed siesta out on the coast of San Diego before joining their Bullet brothers to tear the roof off the Carlsbad venue.  The show included an introduction performance by percussive guitar player Gregour Markito, followed by special acoustic preformances by Social Green and Con Campaign.  The Amalgamated came through and brought their traditional ska vibes to set the tone for The Bullets.  The LA reggae-soul combo got everybody in the mood to dance, drink and enjoy life instead of dreading tomorrow.  The Bullets’ tunes and live performance have a way of taking people back to the oldies.  The soul is always there and the vibes are always right.  Below is a quick bit of footage to prepare you for the full length videos.
