People have always said that things move in cycles. Basically saying that what becomes old and played out will return to an even higher popularity. It has been the case with so many things, Bell-bottoms came back for its second dose at fame, and still various styles continue to return. On a serious note often times history repeats itself, sometimes for the better and some for the worst. The Bush Cycles have to fall amongst the worst, but then how about the positive side of things, B-boys or breakers may have never left for some of us although to the general public they were nearly extinct.

What was once on nearly every corner in America and around the world has again reached a new level of flame. With the competition shows all over TV and the Internet video craze, the skill levels have risen through the roof. The Moves these cats are pulling off would be unheard of to breakers of the past. Of course every ones trade or talent grows with the times but these dancers are nothing short of amazing. The way that hip-hop culture has become the new pop culture has us finding B-boys and B-girls doing more commercials, TV shows, and movies in the last 5 or more years. Quite a few other elements have been getting their fair share of attention as well.

People always have a good laugh with the kids or young people when something makes it return to the spot light. “You should have seen them in my day” they say. What is to be said about the return of all the movies from back in the day? Often times they butcher a classic. Rarely, almost never these days does a new concept come to life and when its does they break the bank for a flop. Prequels have become the movie save all, that and the remake have successfully tricked people into watching a horrible film for a days worth of wages at there nine to five. Hollywood is rapidly declining… its water well has run dry and the people around it are beginning to panic. As soon as a remotely good flick comes out it’s, followed by a terrible sequel.

Moving on, positive cycles, watching a family member carry mannerisms from people they’ve never met. Have you ever been told you remind me of your uncle, grandpa or your mom or dad? In life this falls into one of its greatest cycles. Being able to enjoy someone after there gone through family members actions. Watching your children act just like there parents. What are the best and worst cycles you notice most?

Random Drug Tests…….No Picnic!

Alistair Overeem is under a lot of pressure. The most drug tested athlete in the world has officially popped for, at the least, seriously elevated levels of testosterone. Several athletes, especially fighters when they are outside of the United States, have been dabbling in Testosterone . The popularity of “Testosterone Replacement” use has increased recently because masking agents are not needed, it can be naturally lowered and out of your system in 6 to 8 days. In the case of a random drug test….you’re F*cked! Just like anyone at their everyday job if they are dirty on a random test.

The question is: how many times does it cost YOU millions of dollars and YOUR legacy?

Many fighters have recovered from the dark cloud of the steroid saga. The problem for Overeem is he has often been accused but never been caught with any major issues until now. He’s now facing the biggest fight of his life, outside the cage. It will be interesting none the less to see how he fares. The drama around this subject will go on and on, the questions about how much TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) can help someone fight better will too. When you have grown as fast in size and popularity such as Alistair has in the last 9 years and your potential usage has been subject of conversation for ages, recovering your dignity after a failed test will be much more of a battle than the average superstar will endure. People have been waiting to see him pop and fail a test, the man promised he would be clean every test, they slipped in the random and the rest is history. The only reason this made it to the page is because the thought of losing it all, and I mean everything, thats going on in your life over any form of true PED or even TRT in doses than can ruin your legacy is beyond nuts to me. People cheered in this cats demise, some were pissed he ruined a good fight; shit some people, like his employer, believed him. Can he make a come back? Is he done? Some fighters get a doctors note to take TRT legally in mild doses, provided they stay aware of certain test dates they are in the clear, although they could also have serious levels at anytime. Is that fair? All and all the fans lose a great fight, it would be nice to see who may have won in the fight. TRT or all natural!

“Our Hike” is taking a serious approach to helping others. They have formed a team that is preparing for a grueling challenge. They intend to hike the Pacific Crest trail, which is a treacherous journey from Mexico to Canada. They will get a chance to see some amazing sites and beautiful landscapes but don’t be fooled this will be no picnic or vacation of any sort. These men and women will be hiking for a cure. Working closely with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society they have planned this event and further more the hike itself. They embark on this quest to raise awareness and funds to assist medical teams in finding a cure for MS. Guess whos back…fresh off a frustrating layoff due to proper medical precaution, Virgil Zwicker looks to take out some that built up stress on his next target. Guto Inocente is a brazilian cardio machine, who has gained much recognition among the MMA community. These two fighters are big for the 205 cut so they both will have the power to push the pace and bring the heavy knock out blows. The last year has been a battle for both fighters equally eager to return to the cage, both suffering horribly timed injuries. Virgil Zwicker was forced out of his main event bout with Lorenz Larkin at the peak of his training, 20+ lbs lighter and in better shape than peers had seen in ten years. Guto Inocente was also sidelined by injury weeks prior to his long awaited debut in Strikeforce, with Lionel Lanham.
