Here comes the finishing line…

“Empty Pockets vol. 1″ has recently headed to the mastering process. Chicago’s lost son DJ Theory has been planted on the West Coast for nearly a decade and has compiled two handfuls of vicious production, while emcee’s Ric Scales and Blest Brando bring signature styles to the table to lyrically impress a broad audience of listeners. Driven by golden era Hip-Hop and crunchy production, these gentlemen have invited few but powerful guest appearances. Looking toward Ian Crosby for his soulful vocal presence and ridiculous double time bars that can actually be dissected, revealing a monster lyricist. Adding to the dynamic, label family member D.Dove has brought her unique delivery and raw personality to the table, completing all the necessary ingredients needed for the meal. Giving you a quality plate of beats and rhymes comparable to a five star meal in your favorite hood restaurant. Meaning all the fun, without the need to sell your soul. So you can vibe the fuck out without being ashamed of not being a millionaire. ”SWAG”, “MAKE IT RAIN”, and other bullshit phrases have given you a reason to forget about real Hip-Hop music. Our brand of music was made for and by those in a struggle. Not for and by those who frivolously  throw away money on women, jewelry, and other materialistic purchases. We welcome you to be proud of your Empty Pockets. Enjoy the album.

99% rises up against the 1% of America

Saturday, October 22nd, 2011

As in several moments in our past, the system has made itself more apparent than ever. As usual it is rubbing the general public in the worst way possible.  The government and congress have also shown a weakness, allowing the people to realize they have a “say” and can make a point by joining together.

By gathering in large masses to make a statement.

It has often been attempted but rarely enforced with proper action. This day and age has opened the gates for social media to go wild. Things like facebook and twitter as well as countless other worldwide methods to communicate have made way for new forms of notifying the people. Comments?
