What’s to come in 2011 for The LIE show? The past year has opened up so many doors for the show and we are expanding with great speed even as you read. With the strong additions we are extremely excited to bring out some good news. First and foremost Social Green is now in the studio recording their 2nd full-length album and the sound is true and original. The bass and drums are thick and full while the guitar and keys are sounding off with a tribute to the way music should be made. Preparations for the vocals are now in place and will be laid down through out the first of month of the year. Look out for a late for a late April release.

While on the subject of music we dabble in to the Hip Hop to bring news of Ric Scales and his debut album Hoodies & Headphones. Smashing production and Golden Era flow has giving this release a sought after sound and gives hope to the title of emcee! Scales refuses to conform to societies TV rapper stereotype and delivers fire. Track after Track takes you back to your favorite part of what you love about Hip Hop. You make the decision the Album drops May 2011!

Shifting speeds we move on to some of our sponsored family. Thomas Reaps is leading the revolution of a new cash sport. He is a feared competitor in the 2011 World Series Of Beer Pong competing for 50,000 dollars in prize money. He joined the family just before the close of 2010 and has been putting the word out and holding us down on the east coast. Big ups to Virginiabeerpong.com and good luck in the series!

In the Art corner as the year came to close we brought you Shawn David Baker who came in swinging with the tribute to fallen surf ledgend Andy Irons. The painting is ready and packed and if everything goes right it will be on its way to Hawaii early January. Look for Baker sideline at the 2011 PGA tourney in Torrey Pines, CA capturing the event live and bringing it to life in paint! We will be bringing you updates on all the past and present pieces from Shawn’s catalog through out the New Year.

Surfer David Santiago and Cinematographer Carlos Vargas Mendez have teamed up again and headed home to Puerto Rico to catch some winter waves and barrels. The surf is big and the boys are ready so keep your eyes around for the new footy.

Welcome to The LIE show!!!

Anyone’s Night

The energy filled the arena as their hometown favorite Lavar “Big” Johnson entered the cage. At home we were cheering on our hometown hero Virgil “REZ DOG” Zwicker. He was clearly out sized but never out matched. Excited to test himself in the majors with anyone no matter what their size or buzz. Both fighters took a brief second to size each other up but not much. Virgil came strong with leg kicks and was keeping good distance. Both fighters exchanged heavy blows to quickly gain respect for one another. In a back in forth head to head slugfest Lavar got the upper hand with some big punches. Virgil covered up and headed to the canvas but the fight was quickly stopped. The Rez Dog showed serious heart and he doesn’t seem to back from any challenge. He impressed the Strikeforce organization and it is rumored he will fight at his true weight class of 205 lbs. for his next bout under the Strikeforce banner. Cant wait to support our Fighter in his return to the winners circle! Virgil would like to thank all his fans and sponsors for all their support and insures he will be back and stronger than ever!

David Santiago

Friday, June 24th, 2011

From the ghettos of Luqillo Puerto Rico David Santiago is no stranger to struggle. Driving him on a mission to break the stereotype. He travels the world with his surfboards and little luggage from competition to competition. Though this is a far cry from how his life started, it has become his daily grind. After the loss of his parents David became more driven than ever to compete and conquer his goals in professional surfing. Shortly after he acquired a solid sponsorship offer from Adrenaline Lifestyle, which opened the door for more travel. Along the way he has developed a strong name based on his character and loyalty. Recently David Santiago has joined the L.I.E. team and is currently on a surf tour hitting hot spots like Southern California, Hawaii, and Virginia Beach as well as others. If you see a ripper out in the water with shoulder long salt and sunned out dreads shredding, call out “Vampiro” if you get a head turn its likely David’s in the water.
